How do I get involved?
We have two ways to be involved, as a participant and as a leader.
New teachers who are finishing their first 1-3 years should apply to the New Teachers Retreat. We aim to assemble a diverse group of teachers from from urban, suburban, and rural districts as well private, public, pilot, and charter schools and across grade levels and subject areas.
Completed applications can be submitted through the link to the form below starting February 1st. UPDATE: Applications have been extended and are due April 30th. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance on May 1st.
We have worked to keep costs low for lodging, food, and instruction. The total cost for participants is $350 due in full by May 5th. This fee is non-refundable. We are actively seeking sponsors to subsidize attendance and are eager to help participants reach out to their schools districts for potential financial support. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if cost is a concern. We are happy to work with you and your district.
We’re looking for leaders who are fresh from their first years and can relate to new teachers but who have also turned the corner and have experience that informs a positive outlook on the work ahead. Please be prepared to lead both small-group mentorship sessions, full workshops, and to recruit participants. We are recruiting mainly by referral, so please get in touch with us at email@example.com.
